Asking for a useful additional view
An extra photo is only worth requesting if it answers a specific question. Precision in the request is what turns a picture into an answer.
When the standard photos leave a doubt, you can often ask for more. The difference between a request that helps and one that wastes a round trip is specificity: name the part, the angle and the condition you want to see.
Good requests versus vague ones
| Vague | Specific and answerable |
|---|---|
| “More photos please” | “A straight-on shot of the size label, flat and in focus” |
| “Is it good quality?” | “A raking-light close-up of the right side seam to show the stitching” |
| “Check the shoes” | “Both shoes side by side, top-down, to compare left and right” |
| “Show everything” | “All included pieces laid out together in one frame” |
Frame the doubt as something a camera can resolve
Start from the worry, then ask what image would settle it. A worry about a mis-pick is settled by a clear shot of the item next to its label. A worry about a scuff is settled by a close-up of that spot. A worry about authenticity is not settled by any photo — recognise those early and don't spend a request on them.
An honest note on cost and availability
Whether extra photos are free or paid, how many you can request, and how long they take are decided by the platform and can change. We do not publish those figures here, because we cannot verify a current number for you and a stale one would mislead. Check the additional-service and inspection entries in the official Help Center before you rely on any of it.
