A practical QC photo checklist
Work top to bottom. Each item pairs something to look at with the specific follow-up to ask if the photo does not settle it.
Every order, first
- Variant match. Does the colour and version match your chosen option? — ask for a daylight photo if the lighting is coloured.
- Count. Are all pieces, pairs and accessories present? — ask for everything laid out in one frame.
- Damage. Any tears, stains, scuffs or cracks? — ask for a close-up of the exact spot.
- Labels. Are size and article labels legible? — ask for a flat, in-focus shot of the label.
Shoes
- Left/right symmetry. Placed side by side, do both shoes match? — ask for a paired top-down shot.
- Sole and glue. Even stitching, no glue smears along the midsole? — ask for a medial and lateral side view.
- Toe box shape. No collapse or uneven creasing? — ask for a straight-on front shot.
- Box label. Size and article number as ordered? — ask for the label flat and readable.
Jackets, hoodies and knitwear
- Colour and finish. Matte or gloss, shade under neutral light? — ask for a photo near a window.
- Hardware. Zips run smoothly, snaps aligned? — ask for a close-up of the main zip.
- Print and embroidery. Placement and edges clean? — ask for a straight-on shot of any graphic.
- Seams and ribbing. No loose threads, cuffs even? — ask for a cuff and hem close-up.
Sports jerseys
- Crest and sponsor. Position and colour against a reference image? — ask for a flat chest shot.
- Name and number. Font, spacing and edges of the print? — ask for a close-up of the back print.
- Collar. Construction and any tag detail? — ask for a collar close-up.
Bags
- Hardware. Zips, clasps and rings finished and aligned? — ask for close-ups of each.
- Stitching. Even, straight, no skipped runs? — ask for a raking-light seam shot.
- Lining and interior. Clean, correct colour? — ask for the bag open and flat.
Electronics — appearance only
Read every electronics photo as cosmetic evidence and nothing more. It can show the model as labelled, the colour and the packaging, and any external damage. It cannot confirm that the device powers on, pairs, charges or is safe, and it cannot establish authenticity. If those things matter, plan to test on arrival — a photo will never cover them.
- Model and packaging. As ordered, seals intact? — ask for the box and label.
- External condition. Scuffs, dents, screen marks? — ask for each face of the device.
