Shopping-agent and forwarding inspection
The single most common mistake in QC advice is to treat every order the same. What can be checked, and by whom, depends on which service handled your parcel.
Two different things get lumped together under “the platform checked my order”. They are not the same service, and Superbuy's own Help Center keeps them apart — a Shopping Agent Service and a Forwarding Service, each in its own section with its own agreement. When we loaded that Help Center on 2026-09-18, that separation was plainly visible in the navigation. Here is why it changes what an inspection means.
The two services, side by side
| Shopping-agent order | Forwarding parcel | |
|---|---|---|
| Who chooses and buys the item | You pick it; the agent places the purchase on a Chinese marketplace on your behalf | You buy it yourself and have it sent to the warehouse |
| What the warehouse receives | An order the agent placed and can relate to your request | A parcel the agent did not buy and did not choose |
| What a photo can reasonably document | That the received item matches the order that was placed | The condition of a parcel as it arrived, not the correctness of a purchase the agent never made |
| Where the terms live | Under the shopping-agent agreement | Under the parcel-forwarding agreement |
Why conflating them misleads
If you read a forwarding parcel's inspection as though it were a shopping-agent check, you can expect a level of “did they buy the right thing” assurance that simply is not part of forwarding — the agent never chose the item. Read the other way round, you might undervalue what a shopping-agent inspection can tell you. Match your expectations to the service you actually used.
What this does not decide
Even within the correct service, an inspection remains a look at photos. It does not become an authenticity test or a function test because you used one service rather than the other. The scope of any inspection still applies.
Confirm the current terms yourself
Which checks are included, what they cost, and how long anything is stored are set by the platform and change over time. We deliberately do not print those numbers here. Read them on the service that applies to you: the shopping-agent and forwarding sections of the official Help Center.
